Japanese Buddha Garden Statue

Inspired by the famous Kamakura Buddha statue of Japan, this Japanese Buddha Garden Statue is truly a marvelous piece to add to any garden or outdoor meditation space.

Amida Buddha, or Amithaba, is worshipped by members of the Japanese Pure Land sect of Buddhism. He presides over a celestial paradise called Sukhavati, or "realm of Bliss", which is understood in Buddhism to be a state of consciousness. In this specific depiction, his hands are held together in the Mida-no Jōin Mudra, the Japanese name for the Dhyani (Cosmic) Mudra, while seated atop a lotus throne in the half lotus position.

At a considerable height of 16", our Japanese garden Buddha statue is handmade with the utmost attention to detail, resulting in a richly detailed and timeless homage to "The Buddha of Infinite Light".

Material: Metal bonded with resin. Bronze-colored patina is antiqued by hand. Minor variations in color should be expected due to the nature of the antiquing process. This antiquing will get richer with age, especially if you display the statue outdoors.
