Large Green Om Singing Bowl - 8"

This sturdy Large Green Om Singing Bowl is hand-painted with the mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" in Tibetan script along the side. It also features a large relief image of the "Om" symbol with a patina look inside the bowl.

"Om Mani Padme Hum" is one of the most well-known Tibetan mantras and roughly translates to "Praise the Jewel in the Lotus". It is associated with Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

This single syllable, "Om", is believed by Hindus to be the sacred sound of the universe. It is uttered at the beginning and ending of prayers to sync our bodies with the universe's vibrations. The curves of the symbol also each represent different states of consciousness.
