Each color mask represents a different form of Tara. She has many forms that are represented by different colors and embody a certain trait of the central Green Tara.

Green Tara (Śyāmatārā) is the core Tara and her most well-known form. She is known as the "Mother of All Buddhas" and the female equivalent of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara.

Red Tara (Kurukullā) is considered one of Tara's more magical manifestations and is associated with concepts such as love, femininity, and manifestation.

Ivory Tara (White Tara, Sitatārā) is known for her strong sense of compassion and motherly instinct. She is milky white in color, a symbol of her purity and healing capabilities.
