At your request, we commissioned a smaller interpretation of our most popular statue, the Hand-colored Kuan Yin statue. Kuan Yin is the bodhisattva of compassion. Her name means "she who hears the cries of the world." She is represented holding a vessel containing the healing waters of compassion to soothe the suffering caused by desire, anger and ignorance. Cast in bronze and hand-finished with patinas and gold accents, this reproduction is a fine example of the art of the post-classic Sukhothai period (15th C).
