Fine artist Ananda Khalsa was commissioned by the MFA to create a collection of jewelry inspired by an ancient Japanese book of flower paintings in 2006.
A full moon rises over misty mountains silhouetting delicate plum blossoms. In Zen, these flowers represent the sharing of sacred knowledge while the moon reflects the true nature of Mind.
Sterling chain is 18" long and accented with iolite at the clasp. Pendant is 1 1/8" dia.
Inspired by Zen and the beauty of the natural world, Ananda Khalsa creates miniature masterpieces to wear as jewelry. Deeply symbolic and meticulously rendered, each diminutive work of art is painted individually by the artist in acrylic on watercolor paper. The painting is set behind crystal in an oxidized sterling frame with satin finish.
Each necklace is signed by the artist and completed with an 18" sterling chain accented with a timey semi-precious gemstone. Handmade in the USA. Exclusive to our catalog.
