Wind chimes enliven the garden and home with melodious sound, and awaken us to the beauty of the present moment. We invite you to adopt the Japanese tradition of hanging colorful, cast iron wind chimes, indoors or out, to welcome Summer's arrival.
Japanese wind chimes, also known as "furin," are often hung from the eaves of porches and in windows to catch the breeze. The chime of the furin has come to symbolize not only summer, but also comfort, as the ringing the chime makes when it sways means that a cool breeze is present even on the most humid of days. If you close your eyes, you can hear the "ding, ding" of the bell as "wind, wind."
Japanese Wind Chimes come in different materials and shapes and make wonderful collector's pieces. Animals are common themes as they represent our connection to the natural world. Hanging the wind chimes in your window or doorway further connects you to the natural world outside the home.
Collect them all for your home or garden. Made in Japan.
