Green Tara is the feminine embodiment of enlightenment and a representation of the Buddha-nature that exists within each of us. Her female form represents wisdom, and she is called the Mother of all Buddhas. Tara comes swiftly to the aid of those in need. She is the liberator from karmic obstacles and fears. Her right hand, extended in the giving mudra, bestows the common and uncommon siddhis, or accomplishments. Her left hand is held in the gesture of fearlessness to bestow protection.
