Cranes, called tsuru in Japanese, mate for life and are symbols of honor, loyalty, and unconditional love. They are regarded as harbingers of good fortune and longevity because their fabled lifespan is a thousand years.

Japanese flower vase is masterfully cast of pure zinc with exquisite raised relief of two cranes enfolded in a tender embrace. Hand applied bronze patina. Coated interior is water tight. Made in Japan.
