The custom of using special, over-sized 10 oz. teacups when eating sushi dates back to old Japan; sushi masters needed to concentrate on their main task without the interruption of pouring tea for customers. Porcelain sushi cups with rough textured glaze are hand carved and hand painted with traditional motifs representing the four seasons: plum blossoms (spring), bamboo (summer), red maple leaf (autumn) and snowy pine (winter).
Cups hold 10 oz. Made in Japan. Paper gift box. Set of 4. 3 3/8" dia., 3 1/2" h
