Send greetings, thanks, and good wishes on beautiful notecards depicting Manjushri, the bodhisattva of wisdom. Manjushri, one of the most important bodhisattvas in the Buddhist pantheon, represents the wisdom of all the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. He can manifest in different forms depending on the circumstances. He is typically shown as a beautiful youth wielding a flaming sword that cuts through the ignorance that obscures the true nature of reality and binds beings to an endless cycle of suffering. In his left hand he holds a book, The Perfection of Wisdom Sutra (Prajnaparamita Sutra) which is both the source and the embodiment of his awakened understanding. Images are from painted thangkas in the esteemed collection of the Rubin Museum of Art in New York.
The set contains 5 cards each of four different paintings. 20 full-color, blank notecards with white envelopes and decorative box. Printed with soy ink on recycled paper. 5" x 7"
