Bamboo is a tall, woody grass that grows over wide areas of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and Latin America. It is easy to plant and grows amazingly fast - as much as several feet a day! Because of its fast growth cycle and its ability to keep growing even after it has been harvested, bamboo is gaining popularity as an eco-friendly, environmentally conscious, resource.

Traditionally, bamboo has been used for simple shelters and even food, but new applications are emerging as part of a growing effort to reduce forest depletion. Bamboo is now being used in construction, boats, bicycles and furniture. Bamboo furniture is both beautiful and strong, and we are happy to add our new bamboo screens and our bamboo shoe rack to our growing list of fine bamboo products.
